1. Purpose and Scope

This page provides a consolidated overview of product safety, conformity/labelling, and disposal/returns for products offered in our EU shop. It supplements the General Terms and Conditions and the Legal Notice.

2. Product Safety (General)

Our products are designed and supplied so that, under normal or reasonably foreseeable use, they present no or only minimal risks. Each product bears the required identification details such as model or batch identifiers and supplier information, ensuring traceability.

If we identify a safety risk, we will inform affected customers without undue delay via appropriate channels and offer suitable remedial measures such as repair, replacement, or refund. Relevant safety information is made available on the product page prior to purchase.

3. Conformity and Labelling

Batteries or button cells used in our watches are labelled accordingly; the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates separate collection, and additional chemical symbols (Hg, Cd, Pb) may indicate contained heavy metals.

Watch straps and textile components are labelled with fibre composition in accordance with applicable regulations and include care instructions.

Where products qualify as electrical or electronic equipment, separate collection is indicated by the WEEE symbol; additional information is provided in Section 8.

4. Water Resistance of Watches

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, our wristwatches are water-resistant according to the specified rating, typically 5 ATM (50 m), with certain models offering higher ratings.

The ATM rating describes pressure resistance tested under laboratory conditions and does not represent an actual diving depth. A water resistance of 5 ATM covers typical everyday contact with water and may, depending on the model, allow light water exposure or brief swimming, but not snorkelling or diving.

A rating of 10 ATM is suitable for swimming and snorkelling, but not for scuba diving. Higher ratings (for example 20 ATM) are intended for more intensive water contact; diving functions apply only to models explicitly designated as dive watches. The individual product specification is always decisive.

5. Product-Specific Safety Instructions for Watches

Button cells must always be kept out of the reach of children; if ingestion is suspected, medical assistance must be sought immediately. Strong magnetic fields may affect timekeeping accuracy.

Before contact with water, the crown and, where applicable, pushers must be properly closed; operating elements should not be used under water. Hot water, saunas, extreme temperature changes, and chemicals should be avoided, as seals are wear parts.

After a battery change or service, water resistance should be checked. Water damage resulting from improper use is not covered by a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty; statutory rights remain unaffected.

6. Sunglasses (Personal Protective Equipment – Category I)

Our sunglasses comply with the relevant European requirements, bear the CE marking, and conform to the applicable standards. Labelling includes manufacturer information, model/batch identification, UV protection details, and the filter category (0–4) with suitability notes.

Sunglasses are not intended for direct observation of the sun or eclipses and are not designed to protect against artificial UV sources; they are not safety glasses against mechanical risks.

For road traffic: filter category 4 lenses are not suitable for driving; sunglasses are generally not intended for night-time or twilight driving.

An EU Declaration of Conformity is available upon request.

7. Use, Care, and Accessories

The information provided on the respective product page and any enclosed leaflets is decisive. Watches and straps must be cleaned and stored in accordance with the care instructions, and only suitable accessories should be used.

8. Disposal and Returns

Batteries and button cells must not be disposed of with household waste. Used batteries can be returned free of charge to municipal collection points or retailers; return to us is possible after brief prior notice via the Help Center.

Where products qualify as electrical or electronic equipment, they must be collected separately; personal data stored on used devices must be deleted prior to disposal.

Packaging materials such as paper, cardboard, and plastics should be recycled where possible; textile components and straps should be disposed of in accordance with local collection systems.

9. Safety Reports and Recalls

Safety notices, defect patterns, or suspected issues can be reported via the Help Center. please include the order number, product name, and contact details.

Depending on the situation, remedial measures may include repair, replacement, refund, or a recall. We will inform customers of safety-related measures on this page and, where possible, directly.

10. Updates

This page is updated when requirements, products, or processes change. The current version applies.
