Reducing and offsetting emissions
We can reduce our CO2 emissions, but we cannot completely prevent them. Therefore, we ensure a balance. Together with ClimatePartner, we offset every gram of CO2 we produce by financing climate-positive projects, so that the emissions we generate are saved elsewhere.
ENSURING GOOD CONDITIONS
It is important to us that everything is fair from start to finish. That is why we have become a member of Amfori. As part of regular audits, we have the conditions at our partners analyzed, and we have committed to adhering to the so-called BSCI standard. This standard ensures that fair conditions prevail throughout the entire supply chain.
COMPONENTS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Sustainability begins with design, as even the selection of the right materials has a significant impact.
Here’s what we work with:
Stainless Steel
For our watches, we use steel in particularly pure 316L surgical quality. Stainless steel is very comfortable to wear, extremely robust, and can be recycled and reused almost indefinitely.
BIO-ACETATE
Thanks to its flexibility, resilience, and comfortable wear, it is an optimal material for sunglasses. It is biodegradable and produced with renewable raw materials.
Recycled Polyester
For example, for our Urbaneers, we use plastics made from recycled PET materials. This makes the backpacks waterproof, extremely durable – and very comfortable to wear!
PLANT-TANNED NATURAL LEATHER
When we use leather, it is leather that has not been chemically sealed or treated with aggressive heavy metals – It's good for the skin, good for the environment, and good for the look!
GENUINE DURABILITY
We focus on high quality because we want our customers to enjoy our products for a long time. Durability is also an important aspect of sustainability. And if something does go wrong, our repair service takes care of it. This also increases the lifespan and avoids waste!
