    Died at 4 years

Has a three year warranty, mine died at four years. Thought it was just a dead battery, jeweler said DOA and repair would cost more than replacement.

Thank you for your feedback, Mike. We're sorry to hear about the issue with your Lilienthal 1 – All Blue after four years of use.

While our warranty covers three years, we understand how disappointing it can be when a timepiece stops working. We appreciate you taking the time to have it checked by a jeweler and sharing your experience with us.

A member of our customer service team will reach out to you shortly to discuss your situation and see how we can best assist you.

Frequently asked questions

Is this watch water-resistant?

Yes. This watch features 5 ATM water resistance and a sapphire-hardened mineral glass. It's built to handle everyday moisture (rain, handwashing) and the scratch-resistant glass ensures durability in daily wear.

Can I easily swap the straps on the watch?

Yes, all our models have interchangeable straps with a quick-release mechanism. This lets you change the look or replace straps without any tools.
On the back of both halves, you will find a small pin. Push it gently inwards to easily remove the strap. To attach a new strap, simply simply reverse the process.

What movement and battery life does the watch have?

The watch uses a reliable Japanese quartz movement. Battery life is typically 2-3 years. When it’s time to change them we offer professional servicing to keep your watch sealed and protected.

How accurate is the watch?

Our quartz watches are incredibly accurate, typically losing or gaining only a few seconds per month. This means you can rely on your watch to keep precise time without frequent adjustments – perfect for everyday wear and busy lifestyles.

Why is a quartz watch perfect for daily wear?

Quartz watches are “grab & go” ready – they start running immediately and don’t need winding. You can pick up your watch and wear it anytime, making it perfect for daily use or if you switch between multiple watches.

How durable is a quartz watch?

Quartz watches are built to last. With fewer delicate moving parts than mechanical watches, they resist shocks and everyday wear, making them ideal for active, everyday use.

What is the difference between a quartz movement and an automatic movement?

Quartz movements are powered by a battery and are very precise, running as long as there is energy in the battery. Automatic movements, on the other hand, rely on kinetic energy from wearing the watch or winding it manually. An automatic watch is a collector's item due to its craftsmanship.

What is sapphire glass, and what does sapphire-coated mineral glass mean?

Pure sapphire glass, often found in high-end luxury watches, offers the highest scratch resistance. It provides optimal protection against scratches. Sapphire-coated mineral glass means that a regular watch glass has been reinforced with a fine layer of sapphire glass, providing high scratch resistance as well.

What is hypoallergenic 316L stainless steel?

This watch is crafted from 316L stainless steel – a premium, corrosion-resistant alloy widely used in high-quality watches and even medical instruments. It is highly durable, resistant to rust and tarnishing, and maintains its shine over time.
Because 316L stainless steel is hypoallergenic, it is especially suitable for sensitive skin and helps reduce the risk of irritation.
Strong, skin-friendly, and built to last.

How does Superluminova work?

Superluminova is a special substance that glows in the dark after being exposed to light. It needs to be charged with light to glow. The brightness and duration of the glow depend on several factors, including the duration of exposure to light. Bright LED light, for example, works better than natural light on a cloudy day. The angle also matters; the watch charges less when it's moving on your wrist compared to when it's directly under a light source.

How often does the watch need maintenance?

Our quartz watches are powered by a precise battery-operated movement, known for its outstanding accuracy and reliability. Quartz movements require very little maintenance.
Typically, the battery needs to be replaced every couple of years, depending on the model and usage. We also recommend a quick seal and water-resistance check when changing the battery to ensure long-lasting performance. Simple, precise, and easy to maintain.

If something seems wrong, what is the warranty/repair process?

You’re covered by a clear process: warranty cases go through the portal with a free return label and documented issue handling; if it’s outside warranty, repairs are assessed and quoted before you decide. That structure is there to keep a mechanical product serviceable over time, not disposable.
